The pmrIndex service from MediaGaps allows you to automatically generate Avid-compatible .pmr files when non-Avid third-party solutions write Avid MXF OPAtom and AAF files directly into shared folders. This media becomes instantly editable across multiple Avid Media Composers, fully supporting Edit While Capture. By using pmrIndex, you can avoid the need for costly asset management systems or dedicated workstations solely for media sharing and live editing.
